It is a "outdoors" flea market and is open from 6:30 a.m. till dusk,
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with plenty of parking. The admission fee of
one dollar per person which includes and parking. Since it is an outdoor flea

the "second one" on the right across from K-Mart.
***My Rating: In my opinion, this is still the best one.
Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet is located at 1717 S. Decatur and is open

They are located in a large building which use to be a type of K-Mart or WalMart
store, so there is ample parking. Fantastic has new merchandise, imports, house
wares, sportswear, sporting items, electronics, and jewelry. There is also a
lot of hot, new, trendy merchandise to include souvenirs and novelties. You
can not sell used items in Fantastic. All shops charge sales tax for purchases
and a business license is required. It kind of reminds you of a large souvenir

Take West Sahara from the strip to Decatur, turn right and travel north about
two blocks. You will see it on the right hand side (East Side of Decatur) and
across the street from the IRS. Maybe that is why the charge tax, LOL.
***My Rating is second best.
The Sampler Shoppe is located at 6115 W Tropicana Blvd (at Jones) and

and advertises antiques, collectibles, fine art, primitives, jewelry, and interior
design items. Their normal hours of operation are 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., or 1000hrs

Tanner's WorldWide Flea Market is located at 1636 E. Charleston Ave - monthly Parking and admission fees apply but I'm not sure how much. I have not been to this one. Of course, this is an inside flea market well air conditioned with a wide range of merchandise with many fine quality items, lots of fine jewelry and quite often, some rare pieces and includes approximately 400 dealers. Food stands, restrooms, handicapped accessible and all the good stuff applies; however, seller space starts at $45. Call (702) 382-8355 for additional information. Directions: Drive north on Las Vegas Blvd until you reach Charleston. Turn right onto E. Charleston and drive east for about three blocks, you'll see it just at the intersection of 17th Street and Charleston.
*** Because I have not visited or can not contact them on the telephone, I did not rate them and may not be in business any longer.
North Las Vegas Swap Meet, located at 4150 W. Carey Avenue, is open
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
It is an outdoor market that features new & used merchandise, outdoor oriented
items, farm & ranch items, lots of garage sale fare, crafts, collectibles,
Indian jewelry and art. As advertised, they have a "clean" restrooms
and snack bar. Seller space rents from five dollars and up. Call (702) 647-1365
for additional information, however, admission and Parking fees apply - combined,
but no sales tax. Direction: Take Las Vegas Blvd (the strip) north until you
reach Carey Ave. You'll see it on the left, or West Side of the street.
***I was in this only once and it was too hot with very little shade; therefore, not saying it is good or bad, I did not rate this one.
Computer show Swap Meet, Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd North.
Cashman Center has a computer swap meet almost every month with the next one
scheduled for Saturday, 16 December 2000 and Sunday, 17 December 2000 followed
up by January 27th & 28th 2001. Their normal hours of operation are 10:00
a.m.-5:00 p.m., or 1000hrs to 1700hrs for you military and European types and
entrance fee is $5.00/per person. . Direction: On Las Vegas Blvd go north passing
through (east side) for the FSE or Downtown Las Vegas. It is located at the
intersection of Washington Blvd and Las Vegas Blvd. It will be on your right
hand side traveling north and you can get there by CAT. I could not get a phone
number but the URL is http://www.megashow.com/computer/schedule.html
which gives the show dates and if you sign up for the mailing list, you will
get a $1.00 off coupon for the entrance fee.
***License requirements: I have discovered that if you wish to be a Sellers, the city of Las Vegas requires you to get a city license to sell at it's flea markets such as Fantastic, and there appears to be a two week waiting period to obtain the license at $55.00/year. The web site for more information for the city is http://arachnid.ci.las-vegas.nv.us/bus-license/. Some county flea markets do not require a license. The web site for the county is http://www.co.clark.nv.us/BUSLIC/Buslindx.htm. Also, the state is involved with the tax thing. In order to sell at "most" of the Flea Markets, you need a state sales tax permit that cost $3.00 and up, plus a advanced tax deposit on file. You will need one if you are planning a long term sales activity, but the good news is places like Broad Acres has a on site temporary permit for those "one timers". Their office is located on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Washington Ave. You need to call 702-486-2300 for additional information as it gets more complicated from here. One last thing, Buyers don't need any of this stuff.
Others exist but are not presently listed. I will report on them and update this list at a later date.
