Default 1 Day for Off-Strip casinos

So since I'm going to be solo for Day 1 and I've always wanted to see more of the off-strip casinos (I've only been to the Palms and Rio thus far), I'm going to devote Saturday to checking out some of the off-strip casinos. I was thinking about checking out some on the Boulder Highway (Sam's Town, Eastside Cannery, Boulder Station) during the 1st half of the day and then head back closer to the strip (Gold Coast, Orleans, Palms) before I have to pick up my mom at the airport at 9 pm. Any suggestions for good casual places to eat solo? And any casinos you would add or delete to this list? Is this doable in a day?

If you're looking for the "nicer" off-Strip places, check out Red Rock, GVR, and those waaaay down the Strip - M and South Point (is that the current name?).

Havent checked out the M buffet yet, but it is supposed to be good. When I signed up for the players card, I was given a choice of freeplay or a free buffet. I opted for the freeplay because I had just eaten at the South Point Buffet; which BTW I think is very relaxed and good food.

I would hit M Resort, Silverton and South Point. The buffet at M Resort is awesome and makes the trip worth it. The cafes at Silverton and South Point are pretty good, too.

Wow free buffet for signing up at the M. I have three people on my 21 March trip. It is a definite trip to the M on our schedule of things to do now.
thanks domeboy

Sounds like a good plan. The boulder highway casinos tend to be fairly similar.
I like both South Point and M. They are both newer and nicer than the other off-strip casinos you mentioned. The Gold Coast, Orleans, Rio and Palms are all good casinos as well. They have more dining choices than the Boulder highway ones. As for casual places to eat solo, there are many, many to choose from. A better question would be what kind of food are you looking for. Most of these have all kinds of different restaurants. The more expensive restaurants are at Palms and Rio so if you want something cheaper, I would suggest any of the other casinos, I have listed.

It will be for lunch, so maybe a nicer sandwich place or even a buffet.

How is the gambling at South Point and M? And is this still doable in 1 day?

When I was at the M Resort a few months ago, that promo had ended.
