Does anyone know anything about the renovation at the emerald tower of MGM grand? I know it will be called "the west wing" when its done, anything else on whats going on?

They are keeping very quiet on this, as they did with the Skylofts. Rooms will be boutique style and the are will have limited access, so I understand.

I heard that they are expected to open around April/May/June. If this is true, I suspect we will see something from MGM soon, since they will want to start taking reservations.

The Emerald Tower rooms were smaller than in the Grand Tower. Were there any plans to increase the room sizes or just remodel the rooms.

Has there ever been a hotel room renovation project in Vegas that included creating fewer rooms? Just wondering, doesn't sound like the current trend.

The good news os the atmosphere of the new Wset Wing rooms will make them more popular.

The bad news is the basic room size will be the same.
